What should be checked before installation?

Confirm the supported browser or device, current system requirements, free and paid feature boundaries and the publisher shown in the store. Similarly named extensions can exist, so do not rely on the name alone.

Read the permissions and privacy explanation. An ad blocker needs access to requests and page content to perform its core job, but the publisher should explain how that access is handled.

How is Total Adblock installed?

Official help material describes adding the extension through a supported browser store and following the setup tab that opens afterward. Mobile installation uses the relevant app route and may have a different interface.

2. Verify the product name and publisher.
3. Select the browser’s add or install control.
4. Review and accept the requested permissions.
5. Pin or locate the extension icon if desired.

When is account access needed?

How is a website allowlisted?

Total Adblock’s help material describes an Acceptable Ads area where a website can be added so ad blocking does not apply in the normal way. The exact labels can change by version.

1. Open the extension while visiting the trusted website.
2. Find the site control, Acceptable Ads list or allowlist settings.
3. Add or permit the current domain.
4. Reload the page.
5. Confirm that the required function works.

Allowlisting may permit ads and trackers that the site normally loads. Use it selectively.

How should websites be tested?

Testing should focus on functions that depend on scripts or embedded content: login, comments, maps, video, checkout, document viewers and customer-support chat. A page that looks correct can still have a blocked background function.

Use a private window only as a comparison, not as proof that tracking is absent. Private mode can change extension availability and stored cookies.

How can common problems be fixed?

Ads remain visible

Check whether blocking is enabled, reload the page, update filters if the product provides that control and inspect whether the site is already allowlisted.

Page content disappeared

Pause blocking for that website and reload. If the content returns, adjust the strict preset or add a narrow exception.

Paid features are missing

Open account settings, verify the correct account and use the purchase-restoration process described by official support.

Browser is slow

Disable other extensions one at a time, update the browser and check whether multiple blockers are running simultaneously. Overlapping extensions can cause conflicts.

How is Total Adblock removed?

Use the browser’s extension-management page or the device’s standard app removal process. Removal does not necessarily cancel a paid subscription, so billing should be managed separately through the official account portal.

After removal, review browser notification permissions and any settings changed during setup. A website allowlist stored only in the extension may be removed with it.
